for aviation enthusiasts and photographers alike

to see and hear about the more technical

as well as the glamourous side of these beautiful vintage fighter aircraft : -

Spitfire BM597, Hurricane P3700, Hawker Fury K5674 and Hawker Nimrod K3661,

From our Duxford base, Flt Lt Charlie Brown and/or Flt Lt David 'Harvs' Harvey will host the event, aided by our ground crew team

and guide you through our aircraft collection based here.

The afternoon includes :-

exclusive video footage, pilots viewpoint of operating our aircraft

in-depth talks on the Spitfire, Hurricane and Bf109 in IWM's 'Battle of Britain' hangar with anecdotes.

Questions always welcome and our team are on hand to answer them.

Get unprecedented access to these unique aircraft with exclusive photo opportunities,

Needless to say one of the highlights of the afternoon is the

opportunity to sit in Spitfire Vb BM597 - and have your photograph taken!

– this always provides a wonderful memory of the visit for any guest!

This popular experience is rounded off, back at our base, with tea, coffee and cakes with a bit of a 'mix and mingle'.

We choose to keep these guest groups small, and so space on these popular events is limited.

Sit in the Spitfire is at the sole discretion of the HAC for operational reasons.

Due to maintenance reasons, some of the collection could be away from base on event days, we try to avoid this wherever possible.
